Obituary

Funeral service for Karen W. Smith, 73, will be Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ben Bates officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.    Burial will be in Somerville Historical Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.  

Mrs. Smith died on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital.  She was born  January 14, 1948, in Duncan, Oklahoma,  to Glenn Scott and Wanda Fincher Scott.  She was a homemaker for her family, loved to cook and enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She was the life of the party and was Baptist in her faith. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 33 years, Bennet W. Smith; three brothers; a daughter, Angela M. Pelton and three grandsons. 

Survivors include:   
 
Daughter - Wanetta McCullough

Sons - James McCullough and 
              Jonathan Harless

Step-Father - C.T. Dickerson

Sister - Lisa Dickerson

Ten Grandchildren and 
Eighteen Great Grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Family & Friends.
