James C. Owens

Funeral service for James C. Owens, 68, will be Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Martha Hardin officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. Owens died on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at his residence.  He was born April 5, 1954, in Lawrence County, to James Thomas Owens and Maggie Lou Hall Owens.

Mr. Owens was a loving father and grandfather and loved his grandchildren with all of his heart. He loved to dance at the VFW every Friday night, enjoyed working on different small projects, loved to cut-up and never met a stranger. He was an avid Alabama football fan and was always willing to help anyone that needed help with anything. He was employed by T & C Stamping as a Machine Operator, prior to his passing.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers: Wallace, Milford, Norman and Dalton Owens.

Survivors include  

Sons -Cory Owens and Josh Owens (Tina)

Brother -Horace Owens

Sisters -Phyllis Waters, Margie Hranac, Janice Dutton and Anna Libauskas

Grandchildren -Hunter Owens, Kyndall Owens, Maddie Owens, Kennedy Owens and Maggie Owens

Pallbearers will be Horace Owens, Cory Owens, Jamie Dutton, Aaron Allen, Kris Owens and Tony Smallwood.
