Graveside Service and Interment for Waymon O'Neil (W.O.) Johnson, 90 of Hartselle will be Friday, January 16, 2026 at 2:00PM at Hartselle City Cemetery with Rev. Austin Braasch and Rev. Dr. Thomas Boone officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 PM-2:00PM at the Peck Funeral Home. Mr. Johnson was born June 27, 1935 in Morgan County, AL to Willie McGee Johnson and Kathleen Rose Johnson. W.O. married Nina Summerford June 24, 1955. He was preceded in death by his Parents, and Sister-Sonja Johnson Little.
Waymon O'Neil Johnson, affectionally known as W. O. passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family. A life long craftsman, he graduated from Danville High School in 1953, where he played basketball. W.O. loved his family first and cherished the Johnson farm in the Liberty community. His knowledge and skill as a craftsman touched many lives as he mentored countless individuals in woodworking and mechanics. He will be remembered for his love of family, unwavering dedication, and generous sharing of knowledge. He was the owner of Oakcraft, Inc. prior to his retirement.

Two Sons-Jeffrey O'Neil Johnson (Melba) of Hartselle, AL
Joel Lamar Johnson (Minette) of Stockbridge, GA,
Daughter-Joy Johnson Boone (Tom) of Hoover, AL

8 Great-Grandchildren
Pallbearers will be Heath Kirby, Jackson Kirby, Austin Braasch. Adam Powell, Alex Johnson, and Matthew Johnson.
