A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Travis D. Steel, 55, will be Friday, August 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Center Cemetery with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No public visitation is scheduled.

Mr.Steel died on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born August 8, 1971, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Homer Dewight Steel and Linda Jean Wasson Steel. He was a loving father and grandfather, who loved to travel, enjoyed fishing, talking to friends and neighbors, and was an Auburn fan. He will be missed.

Sons - Donnie Dewight Steel and

Ryan Hunter Steel (Brittany),

Parents - Homer Dewight Steel and

Linda Jean Wasson Steel,

Sister - Tammy Steel,

Seven Grandchildren,

Pallbearers will be Bryan Story, Paul Roberts, Donnie Lowery, Chris Gardner, and Matthew Conrow.
