Born to Rueben Colson Robinson and Velia Ponder Robinson, on April 23, 1952, Tom Robinson passed away peacefully at his home in Priceville, Alabama, on October 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Tom was born in Alabama and moved to Illinois at a young age. He was the youngest of ten children and cherished the relationships he shared with his family throughout his life.Tom was blessed to share 49½ wonderful years of marriage with his best friend and beloved wife, Wanda. Their love and devotion to one another were truly special, and together they showed their children what true love, commitment, and partnership look like.
Tom loved to travel, and by God’s grace, he and Wanda were able to take one last trip together to the Smoky Mountains, creating one more precious memory to treasure.Tom was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will always be remembered for his generous and giving heart, his ability to make everyone laugh, and, of course, his favorite saying, “Okie Dokie!” Tom enjoyed entertaining family and friends, watching westerns—especially Gunsmoke—and playing cards.
According to Tom, nobody could ever beat him at cards!Above all, Tom had a deep love for the Lord. Throughout the past year, he often spoke of his faith and how ready he was to meet his Savior. After a long and difficult fight, Tom was ready to lay down his burdens and begin his new life in Heaven with his Lord and Savior.Though his family and friends will deeply miss his laughter, love, and warm spirit, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Tom leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, family, and laughter that will never be forgotten.
