Tom Holifield, 80, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital.  He was born March 17, 1946, in Jackson County, Mississippi, to George Thomas Holifield and Letha Priscilla Gill Holifield.

George was a dedicated Christian man and was a Veteran of the Army National Guard. He was an avid fossil, coin, and antique collector, a photographer and enjoyed fishing.  He also was a Carpenter.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his brothers- Terry Holifield, Jim Holifield and Jerry Holifield and a sister- Janet Holifield.

Survivors include

a Nephew - Paul Heatherly (Michelle) and his children- Nathaniel and Kevin Heatherly,

and a Niece - Letha Heatherly and her children -  Emily and Gabriel Wright
