Funeral service for Thomas Garner, 38, will be Monday, October 27, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Vest officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 27, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Thomas passed away unexpectedly on Oct 22nd, 2025,  Born in Decatur, to Gregory "Greg" Wallace Garner and Penelope "Penny" Jane King Hopkins, on June 3, 1987.

Thomas was a 2005 graduate of Danville High School. He loved sports and played basketball, football, and baseball at Danville. He made the All-State Honorable Mention in football in 2004 collecting 111 tackles. Thomas had a love for Alabama football as well.

He was a hard worker with a soft heart. He was a pipe fitter by trade, working for Hubbard and Drake. He was also known for taking exceptional care of his grandparents, Kermit and Stella King.

Brothers- Jordan Garner,
Cole Garner (Mackenzie),
Thomas Hopkins, and
Blake Hopkins,

Sisters - Harper Rentz,
Myla Garner,
Rae Garner,
Sheryl Garner, and
Rosemarie Garner.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Garner, Cole Garner, Thomas Hopkins, Stratton Garner, Stedman Garner, and Cory Gilmore.
