Funeral service for Thomas Blankenship, 80, will be Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim McCormick officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. Blankenship passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Woodland Village Health Care.  He was born February 22, 1945, in Morgan County, to John Howard Blankenship and Ruby Mae Plemons Blankenship.

He loved grilling for and spending time with his family, and really enjoyed the outdoors. He was employed by the Hartselle Oil Company (Shell Delivery Company) as the Office Manager, prior to his retirement.

His parents, and a sister-Shirley Riddle and a Brother-in-law-Bennie Riddle, preceded him in death.

Survivors include

Wife - Doris Blankenship,

Daughters- Karen Tidwell (John Tidwell) and
Sandi Proper (Nathan Proper),

Two Grandchildren - Grant Tidwell (Ella Tidwell) and Paxton Tidwell,

Great Grandchild - Oliver Tidwell,

and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Pallbearers will be John Tidwell, Nathan Proper, Grant Tidwell, Paxton Tidwell, Stephen Riddle, and Michael Riddle.

Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to the Open Arms Foundation.
