Funeral service for Shirley McCurry, 82, will be Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim McCormick officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Falkville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. McCurry passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born August 18, 1942, in Morgan County, to Barney L. Maples and Lois Owens Maples.

She was a hairdresser and self employed for 60+ years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband-Roy McCurry, her parents, and seven brothers and sisters.

Connie Hall (Kenny)

Son - Mike McCurry (Bill)

Brother - Bobby Maples

Sister - Doris Blankenship (Tommy)

Sister-in-law - Linda Maples

Six Grandchildren

Fifteen Great Grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Kenny Hall, Josh Hall, Tim Maples, Jimmy Lawrence, Nicholas Lawrence, and Cody Kelsoe.
