Sherry L. Hazel, 73, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at her residence.  She was born September 25, 1952, in Atlanta, Georgia,  to Cleston E. Hyde and Katherine Evora Ross Hyde.

She was employed by Decatur Morgan Hospital as a Unit Secretary, for 42 years, prior to her retirement. She was a proud "dog mom" to Sadie, Randy, and Milo. Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister-in-law- Patricia Hill.

In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made to the Decatur Animal Services.
