A private memorial service for Sherry Alvis, 78, of Hartselle, will be held by her family. Mrs. Alvis was born on July 26, 1946 to Edward and Genie Smith. She died on Monday, January 27, 2025 at her residence. Sherry was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and friends. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, husband- Hoyt Alvis, brothers-Jeffrey Smith, Jimmy Williams, and Michael Williams, and grandson-Glen Stout.
