Funeral service for Sarah Marie Blackwood, 89, will be Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Rice officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery, in West Point, Cullman County.  Visitation will be Friday, July 18, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Sarah Marie Blackwood,  89 years old, went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2025. She loved her family dearly and was the most gracious and giving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend.

Sarah was born on May 20, 1936 and was the daughter of Walter and Etta Stover. She was a member of Southwest Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years.

She was a nurse at Summerford Nursing Home, retiring in 1999.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Cordis Blackwood, and her 10 siblings.

Survivors include:

Sons- Steven Blackwood (Beth), of Hartselle, AL and
Dale Blackwood (Debi), of Niceville, Florida,

Two Grandchildren - Jeremy Blackwood and Justin Blackwood,

Six Great Grandchildren and

One Great Great Grandson.
