Funeral service for Margurette Ruth Sparkman, 82, will be Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Greg Alred officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.  Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sparkman passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at her residence.  She was born October 1, 1942, in Morgan County,  to Clyde Orr Preuitt and Dessie Estelle Neely Preuitt.

She was employed by the State of Alabama as a clerk for the Department of Public Health, prior to her retirement.

Preceding her in death were her husband- David Sparkman, her parents, and a sister - Vivian Boyer.

Survivors include

Son - Eddy Sparkman (Jennifer),

Daughter - Vickie Kennedy (Jimmy),

Brother - Charlie Preuitt,

Seven Grandchildren,

Eleven Great Grandchildren,

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Byrd, Tyler Byrd, Michael Baker, Preston Byrd, Aiden Baker, and Sean Redinger.

In lieu of flowers, please give to the Shady Grove Baptist Mission Fund.
