Funeral service for Roy A. Edge age 80 of Somerville will be Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 1:00pm at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jimmy Chenault officiating with burial in the New Friendship Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 1:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Edge, who was born October 12, 1944, in Louisiana to William Walter Edge and Minnie Slaten Edge, died on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at his home. He was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church, was a good man was loved by all. He was the father figure to many that were not his very own! He was an avid Alabama fan but most of all loved watching and supporting his grandchildren play sports. Mr. Edge had worked as an Industrial painter for Vulcan and was a United States Navy Veteran.

Jacob Edge, Michael Edge, Joseph Bramlett, Hayden Morgan, Devin Mason, Justin Sadler, and Jace Bramlett will serve as pallbearers
