Funeral service for Robert Johnson, 71, will be Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ralph Henderson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson died on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Summerford Nursing Home.  He was born August 13, 1953, in Morgan County, to Homer Lester Johnson and Lillie Inez Waugh Johnson.

Robert was an avid Alabama Fan, who loved talking to people and making them laugh. He enjoyed eating at Oh Bryan's restaurant. He was a longtime member of Somerville's Volunteer Fire Department (S.A.V.E.S.) and attended the Cowboy Church until he was unable to attend. Robert was a friend to everyone.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister- Glenda J. Dunaway.

Survivors include

a Niece - Misty Latham (Rob),

his Nephew - Jason Dunaway,

and his Great Nieces and Nephews - Jared Latham, Riley Latham, Jayden Dunaway, and Alexis Sanders.

and good friend - Wendy Smith,

Pallbearers will be Tony Smith, Gary Evans, Jay Kempson, Billy Parker, Rob Latham and Jayden Dunaway.
