A Graveside Funeral service and interment for Ricky Lynn Weaver, 65, will be Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Rock Creek Cemetery with Jeff Thompson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. Weaver passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Falkville Health Care Center.  He was born June 1, 1960, in Morgan County,  to Howard Lafayette Weaver and Ruth Lynn Breeding Weaver, who preceded him in death.

He was a 1978 graduate of Brewer High School where he played basketball. After high school, he worked for various trucking companies and retired from Averitt Express. Taking on a 2nd career job, he began to work for the Morgan County School System as a custodian and doing yard maintenance at Brewer High School, and later transferred to Eva School where he became known as Mr. Ricky to all the students.He loved to tell stories about his dogs and hunting adventures to all the students and teachers. He retired from Eva School in 2021. He loved to be outdoors especially if it involved a dog chasing rabbits and squirrels.

Survivors include

Son - William (Will) Weaver,

Daughter - Amy Weaver,

Sisters - Lynette Yancey and
Lydia Hudson (Roy),

and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Frost, Cody Frost, Kyle Frost, Danny Woodall, Jimmy Brindley, and Bobby Stinnett.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Falkville Health and Rehab for the care and love that they have given the past nine months.  Also, his family would like to thank, Malorie Johns and Hannah Vandiver, with Hospice of North Alabama, although their time was very short.
