Funeral service for Ricky Echols, Sr., 69, will be Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Nathan Childers officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. Echols died on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at his residence.  He was born August 13, 1956, in Morgan County,  to Hubert Floyd Echols and Pauline Draper Echols.

He was employed by Meow Mix Company, as a machine operator, prior to his retirement.  He was a loving father and grandfather, and loved Alabama.

Preceding him in death were his parents Hubert and Pauline Echols.

Survivors include

Daughter - Heather Cook,

Son - Ricky Joe Echols, Jr.,

Brother - Roger Echols,

Sisters - Judy Davis, Linda Rogers, Deb Frazier, and Betty Echols.

Two Grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Jaxon Cook, Ricky Echols, Jr., Jeremy Roberts, Roger Echols, Blake Burnett, and Rodney Drake.
