A Celebration of Life for Richard Simmons, 79, will be Friday, September 5, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe David Bailey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Friday, September 5, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. Simmons passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at his residence.  He was born September 26, 1945, in Etowah County,  to Dock Lee Simmons and Tollulah Lucille Crumpton Simmons, who preceded him in death.

He was employed by Chrysler in the Quality Control Department, prior to his retirement. Mr. Simmons was also a United States Army Veteran and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother.

In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project .
