Renee Hayes Herchenhahn, 62, of Priceville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 21, 1963, in Haleyville, Alabama, Renee was the daughter of the late James Burgess and Janice Orme (Bill Orme). She lived a life marked by kindness, strength, and love. For more than 30 years, she served the Priceville community and surrounding areas as a dedicated hairstylist, building lasting friendships with countless clients who became like family.

Renee was known for her generous spirit, warm smile, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She found joy in spending time with her family and treasured every moment with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother and stepdad, Janice & Bill Orme; her sons, Brandon Hayes (Shanna) and Austin Herchenhahn; her grandchildren, Kayden, Carson, and Dayton; her brothers, Allon Burgess (Carol) and Keith Burgess (Nancy); and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Burgess, and her daughter, Chasity.

Renee’s love, strength, and compassion touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and the community she served so faithfully.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Andrews Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Roger Ammons officiating. No public visitation is scheduled; however, the public is encouraged to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM for a funeral procession at the cemetery.
