A funeral service for Peggy Ann Meeler Thompson, 82, of Valhermoso Springs will be on Tuesday, July 21, 1026 at Valhermoso Springs Holiness Church at 1:00PM with Bro. Tim Patrick and Bro. Gerald Case officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at the church. Peggy was born on January 7, 1944 to Joe and Anna Meeler in Madison County. She died on July 18, 2026 at her residence.

Peggy Thompson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was a member of Valhermoso Springs Holiness Church and she received the Holy Ghost on June 23, 1974. Mrs. Thompson enjoyed serving the Lord, being in church, and gospel music. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Pam Whisante, one brother, and six sisters.

Husband of 67 years: James Hurshel Thompson

Three sons: Buster Thompson, Blake Thompson (Ryleigh), and Brett Thompson (Aubrie)

Son-in-law: Harley Whisante

Two grandchildren: Teri Jolly (Anthony) and Corey Whisante (Mahaley)

Six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Thompson, Gary Thompson, Eddie Lones, Bud Hopkins, Joel Wilson, and Brandon Johnson.
