Funeral service for Pastor David Wayne Taylor, 75, will be Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM at United Christian Church of God with Rev. Dr. Jason Taylor and Bro. Mike Price officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Somerville Historical Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at United Christian Church of God.

Pastor Taylor died on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Hartselle Health Park ER. He was born February 10, 1950, in Franklin County, to David Hershel Taylor and Dorothy Seline McDowell Taylor.

He was the Minister of the United Christian Church of God for 33 years, and was the evangelist for the Native American Tribe. He was also a Tribal Member of the Cherokee Nation, prior to his passing. He started his ministry out as a Youth Minister and continued to minister to others throughout his life.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and a sister- Joyce Roof.

Pallbearers will be Benjamin Taylor, John Shiverdecker, Clyde Burress,II, Trea Burress, Eli Shiverdecker and Larry Kloep.
