Nancy Lee Hall Payne, 70, of Decatur, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on April 8, 2026.

Born August 14, 1955, in Birmingham, Alabama, Nancy was a graduate of Morgan County High School and later studied nursing at Calhoun Community College. She devoted many years of her life to nursing, caring for others with the warmth, compassion, and attentiveness that defined her.

Nancy loved life and had a special gift for making people laugh. Whether through her work in nursing or in her everyday life, she was a servant at heart — always noticing others' needs and offering comfort and kindness. She was a devoted reader and found joy in caring for plants and animals, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abner Hall and Alice Ruth Hall.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Nikki Hooker (Jason), Jessica Daigre (Marshall), and Lauren Watkins (Derek); her brothers, Charles Russell Hall and Richard Hall; and her eight beloved grandchildren: Marlee and Mitchell Hooker; Jackson, Baylor, Beau, Tye, and Blakely Daigre; and Reid Watkins.

A service to celebrate Nancy's life will be held on Saturday, April 18, at 11:00 a.m. at Harvest Pointe Methodist Church at 103 Gin Oaks Court, Madison, AL 35758.
