Nancy Jane Johnson

Nancy Jane Johnson, 91, of Hartselle, passed away on July 29, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born in Michigan, on January 14, 1935, to Alfred Raymond Beckwith and Blanch Estelle Mallory Beckwith.

Nancy was a loving mother, the cherished matriarch of her family, and a woman whose faith guided every aspect of her life. Deeply devoted to her church and to God, she believed that only her faith came before her family. Her love for her children and grandchildren was unwavering, and she found her greatest joy in bringing her family together and creating lasting memories. Known for her outspoken nature, she always spoke her mind with honesty and never felt the need to sugarcoat the truth—a quality that made her both authentic and deeply respected. She also appreciated life's simple pleasures, and few things made her happier than enjoying a good hamburger.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Holger Johnson; her parents; brother, Alfred Beckwith; sisters, Mary Jo Ash, and Kathleen Beckwith; and a grandson, Kyle Johnson.

Left to cherish her memory are:

Sons- Michael D. Johnson (Ann) and Mark W. Johnson (Barbara Eason)

Daughter- Tracy A. Johnson

Brother- David Beckwith

Sister-in-law- Mary Johnson "Shockey" (John)

Three Grandchildren- Amanda Boger (Rodney), Kathleen Newcomb (James), and Anthony Post

Five Great Grandchildren- Celina, LeAna, Vincente JR., Jude, and Jovie

Four Great-Great Grandchildren- Maverick, Brixton, Briella, and Camila

And numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 12:00 AM, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 1450 Sparkman Street SW, Hartselle, Alabama 35640.
