A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Myrle Childers, 83, will be Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM at West Point Cemetery in Somerville, with Peck Funeral Home directing. No public visitation is scheduled.

Ms. Childers died on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.  She was born September 24, 1942, in Morgan County,  to Richard Hughes Flack, Sr. and Lucy Ida Thomas Flack, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Harlan Thomas, Rex Flack, and Richard Flack, Jr.; and four sisters, Eloise East, Nada Ruth Flack, Judy Wray, and Laura Eick.

She was employed as a Bus Driver for the Morgan County School System, prior to her retirement.  She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include

one Daughter - Gaylene Yarbrough (David),

one Grand Child - Dakota Yarbrough,

and Several nieces and nephews,

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
