A visitation for Mrs. Mildred Turney McNutt will be held at Peck Funeral Home Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with her funeral service following at 7:00 PM in the chapel. Brother Tim Keenum will be officiating, and Peck Funeral Home is directing.

Mildred Glen Turney McNutt age 102, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at her residence in Hanceville. She was born in Morgan County to Mr. and Mrs. Lemme and Susan Opal Sterling Turney on April 11, 1924. She worked as a seamstress at Lawrence Corp among others prior to retiring. Her son David says "she was a professional mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great- great grandmother" who adored her large family. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing and cooking for her family. She was super at her role as matriarch and loved every minute of it. She had a huge heart, was dearly loved by her family and will be truly missed. Preceding her in death are her parents; Children-Donald, Judy, Ronald and Diane.

Survivors include her son, David McNutt (Marie); brother, Ray Turney; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 37 great-great grandchildren.
