Mikey Joe Lawrence

Funeral service for Mikey Joe Lawrence age 61 of Falkville will be Friday, October 30, 2026, at 1:00pm at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Branch officiating with burial in the Lebanon Baptist Church cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Lawrence, who was born May 6, 1965, in Hartselle, Alabama to Albert Ulysses Lawrence and Evie Irene Crow Lawrence, died on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Summerford Nursing Home after a long illness.

Mikey Joe worked until retirement at Corum’s Building Supply in Hartselle where he was the Lumber Yard and Delivery Supervisor. He never met a stranger, loved old cars, woodworking, and building homes. He had a deep love for his family and most of all, his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Gary Ricks, and a sister, Nancy Hardin.

1 Sister: Shelia Lawrence Holt

7 Grandchildren: Murphy Howse, Miller Howse, Monroe Howse, Charleigh Byrd, Molly Mitchell,

Ford Johnson, and Griffin McCaghren

Eli Smith, Greg Ricks, Jimmy Bone, Jimmy Lenz Jr., Rowdy Holt, and Bradley Holt will serve as pallbearers.
