Matthew Ross Vinzant, 44, passed away on January 19th, 2026 at 6:44pm at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.  Visitation will be held on Sunday,  February 1, 2026,  from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Decatur Christian Fellowship church in Decatur, AL.  The memorial service will follow at 3:00pm at the church.

He was employed at Bill Penney Collision Dent and Glass as a body and mechanical technician.  Matthew was a member of Decatur Christian Fellowship church for many years. His Christian walk was the most important aspect of his life. Matthew was a great family man, husband, father, son and soon to be G-pop.

He is preceded in death by his father, Keith A. Vinzant,  brother, Jody Vinzant,  grandparents, Dewel and Dolores Lott and Coy and Estelle Vinzant,  two uncles, Robert and Michael Vinzant.
