Mary Ann Mosier Laster, beloved mom, grandmother and great-grandmother, peacefully passed into the arms of Jesus at the age of 81, on October 10, 2025 at her home in Hartselle, Alabama. She was surrounded by many who loved her deeply.
Mary Ann was born on June 6, 1944, in Bells, Tennessee to Teddy & Mae Mosier. After completing the business program at West Tennessee Business College she worked many years for the City of Memphis. She also worked as a bank teller for several years at Family Security Credit Union in Hartselle, Alabama. After retirement, she was a care-giver to many who became treasured friends.
Mary Ann enjoyed scrapbooking, reading, bird-watching & tending to her beautiful flowers. She was always up for a card game of Rook with her brother, Charles, especially at Thanksgiving when family gathered to enjoy her famous "Auntie Ann's chocolate pie". In, most recent years, her favorite pastime was watching "Heartland" over & over & over again.
It was her role as "Meemaw" that Mary Ann cherished the most. Her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren were the center of her world. Whether attending their events or just hanging out with them, this is where she found her greatest joy.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings. She is survived by one brother, Charles Mosier; her two sons, Donald Laster and Chad Laster and one daughter, Beverly (Jay) Pohl; seven grandchildren, Heath Laster, Hannah (Adam) Walker, Mandi-Kate (Logan) Woods, Jacob Pohl, Josh Pohl, Breanna Laster, Kobe Laster; three great-grandchildren, Roland Walker, Mila Laster, McKennah Woods (Maizie Woods coming soon); and many beloved nieces & nephews.
Mary Ann's visitation and funeral service will be held at Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo, Tennessee, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
