Funeral Service for Marie DeMeester Cancilla, 75 of Hartselle will be Sunday July 5, 2026, at 2:00PM at Danville Baptist Church with Bro. Joe David Bailey officiating.  Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.  Visitation will be Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM at the church.  Mrs. Cancilla was born April 22, 1951, in Erie New York, to Maurice DeMeester and Frances Faggelo DeMeester.

Marie was preceded in death by her Husband, Michael Tom Cancilla and her parents.

She was a member of Danville Baptist Church.  She was a devoted wife, and mother whose love, guidance and unwavering support shaped the lives of her children.  She found her greatest joy in her family and treasured every moment spent together.  As a grandmother, she was a constant source of warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love.  She delighted in celebrating her children's accomplishments, creating cherished memories, and sharing family traditions that will be carried on for generations. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and selfless love will forever remain in the hearts of her children and grandchildren, and all who knew her.
