Funeral service for Maggie Marcella Shelton, 98, will be Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Matt Hines officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home.

Ms. Shelton passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born August 23, 1928, in Cullman County, to Aaron Leondas Kellum and Myrtle Kinney Kellum.

She was employed as a Cafeteria Manager, for the Decatur City School System, prior to her retirement. She loved to cook and enjoyed family gatherings. Ms. Shelton was a member of the Central Park Baptist Church and enjoyed working in Sunday School.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and husbands- James "J.B." Burkett Terry and Leldon Ethon Shelton, and a great grandson - Cayson Westbrook.

The family would like to extend "Special Thanks" to the Hospice of North Alabama, for all of their care.

Sister - Montez Key,

Grandchildren - Brandi Shankle (Sidney), Nicole Belcher (Jeff), Jennifer Lentz (Alex Penot), Haley Stuart (Seth), and Casey Westbrook (Caitlyn).

Great Grandchildren - Olivia Shankle, Kassi Tomlin (Wyatt), Asher Lentz, Reese Stuart, Merritt Stuart, Kaiden Westbrook, Liam Penot, and Ryker Westbrook.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
