A Graveside Funeral service  and Interment for Loretta Bomar Swords, 77, will be Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Center Springs Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Ms. Swords died on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Summerford Nursing Home.  She was born November 16, 1947, in Morgan County,  to Milton Bomar and Ruby Lucille Chappell Bomar.

She was employed by Huntsville Cotton Mill as a Loomer and Machine Operator, prior to her retirement. She loved playing her accordian and going to Gospel singings. She enjoyed attending Church, was a very loving person, and loved her family, one and all. She loved her dog, Marley as well.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a sister- Shirley Reeves, and a daughter- Laura Swords.

Survivors include-

Sisters- Donna Bomar,
Dianne Dumas,
Myra Mayfield, and
Dana Ferguson,

Three Grandchildren,

Pallbearers will be her nephews.
