A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Linda Burnett Houser, 84, will be Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 3:30 PM at Herring Cemetery with Chaplain Otto Wood officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No Public Visitation is scheduled.

Mrs.  Houser died on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Summerford Nursing Home.  She was born June 20, 1941, in Morgan County,  to Roy Winfred Burnett and Gertrude Dutton Burnett.

She was a clerical worker, for Cerro Wire and Cable Company, prior to her retirement. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a hardworking and dependable person and good friend. She also was a very good cook. Linda loved the Lord Jesus, as her personal Saviour. She was blessed to be cared for by many people.

She was preceded in death by two husbands- Rayford McCurley and Woodrow Houser, her parents, brothers- James and Denzil Burnett, a sister- Jewel Roberts, and a grandson- Erik.

Survivors include

Daughters- Denette Blackwood (Barry),and
Melissa McCurley,

Grandson - Winston McCurley,

Brothers- Junior Burnett and
Julian Burnett,

and several nieces and nephews.
