Funeral service for Kimberly Couey Lindsey age 54 of Eva will be Monday, September 15, 2025, at 3:00pm at Shiloh Baptist Church with Don Murphy officiating with burial in the Shiloh Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Kim will lie in state one hour prior to the service on Monday at the Church. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 9:00pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Kim, who was born September 16, 1970, in Decatur, Alabama to Gary and Frances Willis Couey, died on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital surrounded by her family and friends. Kim was an outstanding high school athlete and excelled at everything she tried. She had and infectious laughter and never ever met a stranger. She loved big and was always selfless, ensuring everyone was taken care of. Kim was an avid collector of blankets and throws, and she was employed for 36 years at Decatur Comprehensive Dentistry where she worked as a Dental Hygienist and Receptionist, she really loved her work family!

She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Elaine Willis Couey.
