On September 10th 2026 - Kim Baker woke up to the most beautiful sunrise and was able to enter her heavenly home.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished Tootsie, beloved daughter and sister, respected leader, and a treasured friend to so many.
Kim was known for her strength, her love for others, her fun and contagious smile and personality. Her number one priority was her relationship with Jesus, and her family next. She loved to host people and to serve others. She was always singing, dancing, or making someone smile. She was always in control and had a plan for her crazy bunch. She was always up for a trip to Dollywood to ride the River Rampage. She loved to visit the beach, have lunch with friends, road trip with her husband, and spend time with her family. She loved being a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, and a friend but most of all she loved being a Tootsie to her grandchildren.
Kim graduated from Athens State University with her Bachelors Degree in Business. She had a beautiful career at Decatur Utilities for 35 years. She was a wonderful leader and built a team that she was so proud of. Kim served faithfully as a member at Gum Springs Baptist Church.
