Funeral service for Katie Johnson Jackson, 83, will be Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Corey Clements officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Ms. Jackson passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital.  She was born February 7, 1943, in Madison County, to Charles Edward Johnson and Ruby Bonds.

She was employed by ABC Home Health, as a Home Health Caregiver, prior to her retirement. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She always made friends wherever she went and was loved by all who knew her.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers- Edward Johnson and Harold Johnson

Survivors include:

Daughters- Michelle Jones (Allan),
Kelly Wood (Kris), and
Kristy Jackson,

Son - Chuck Jackson,

Sister - Betty Thomas,

Five Grandchildren -
John Ryan Wood,
Lindsey Wood (Preston Keen),
Tyler Borden,
Kayla Jones, and
Matthew Jones (Reagan Maples).

Pallbearers will be Micheal Jackson, Tommy Jackson, Nick Williams, and Sawyer Williams
