Funeral service for Katherine Ann Hoyer, 72, will be Friday, July 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM at St. Michaels Serbian Orthodox Church with Father Gregory Schultz officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery.  No Visitation is scheduled.

Ms. Hoyer passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at her residence.  She was born October 8, 1952, in California,  to Leonard Stewart Scoggins and Anna Vucovich Scoggins.

She was employed at Redstone Arsenal,  in Security, as a Government Contractor. She was a very kind and caring person, whose favorite thing in life was being a Baba-grandmother. Katherine loved horses, dogs, and cats, and really any other animals. She selflessly sponsored two children with World Vision.

Preceding her in death were her son- Steven Hoyer, her parents, and her brother- David Scoggins.

Survivors include:

Daughter - Kami Chop (Steven),

Grandchild - Waylon Chop,

Daughter #2 - Courtney Ann Rico-Tinajero (Jonathan),

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
