Funeral service for Joy Nell Anderton, 57, will be Monday, March 16, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Virgil Crisp officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.    Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, March 16, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home.

Ms. Anderton passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026 at her residence.  She was born July 31, 1968, in Morgan County,  to Thomas Jackson Wasson and Opal Louise Burns Wasson.

She lived in Hartselle and was employed by Zaxby's, doing prep work, and loved her job, prior to her passing.  She was surrounded by her loved ones as she passed. She was a loving daughter, sister, and Aunt and loved her family dearly, especially her niece and nephews.  Her father preceded her in death.

Mother - Opal Louise Burns Wasson,

Several nephews and one niece that she loved very much,

Pallbearers will be Mike Penrod, Damien Fillmore, Richard Childers, Rodney Childers, Randy Ball and Pat McCulloch.
