Funeral service for John "J.W." Moss, 83, will be Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with  officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.    Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial  Gardens.  Visitation will be Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home

Mr. Moss passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.  He was born June 1, 1943, in Morgan County,  to Henry Moss and Mattie Avo Taylor Moss.

He was employed by Delphi Automotive as a Maintenance Worker, prior to his retirement. He also served with the United States National Guard for 6 years. He was a Baptist in his faith, enjoyed Alabama Baseball and Football, but his most loved past-time was spending time with his grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother- James Moss, and two sisters- Elaine Moss Blankenship, and Mattie Adele Lovell.

Mark Steele,

Daughter - Elizabeth Moss Alvis,

Brother - Leonard O'Neil Moss,

Seven Grandchildren and
Five Great Grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Connor Steele, Peyton Steele and other family and friends.
