Mrs. Joan Tidwell passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at her residence. She was born December 24, 1942, to W. Clyde Smith and Ruby Nell Rutherford Smith.

She was a wonderful mother, wife, and daughter. She was employed as a painter, prior to her retirement.

Preceding her in death were her husband- Billy Don Tidwell, and her parents, W. Clyde and Ruby N. Rutherford Smith.

Mrs. Tidwell's family will hold a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Chapel Baptist Church, 816 Chestnut Street, Decatur, Alabama.

Survivors include

One Son - Dave Tidwell (Katie),

One Daughter - Denise Tidwell Bradford (Daniel),

Two Sisters - Barbara Alldredge and
Jean Billings

and her favorite Dogs - Buddy and Gypsy.
