Funeral service for JoAnn Butler Creel Montgomery, 84, will be Friday, January 30, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Phillip Robinson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Welcome Baptist Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, January 30, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Montgomery passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Folsom Center.  She was born November 8, 1941, in Morgan County,  to John Buford Butler and Zippira Lucille Reno Tanksley.

She was an amazing, hard-working woman, who was kind-hearted and was a great mother. She was employed as a registered nurse and worked for Cullman Regional  Medical Center and also as a travel nurse, prior to her retirement.

Preceding her in death were her parents, two sons- Tony Creel and Gregg Creel, and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include

Daughters - Tina Creel Battles, and
Tammy Creel MeHaffey (Joe),

Sister - Sandra Childers,

Grandchildren -  Rhys Battles, Braxton Battles, Trey MeHaffey, and Wil MeHaffey (Megan).

Grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers.
