Funeral service for Jo Ann Burnett Fortenberry, 74, will be Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Amber Raymond officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Fortenberry died on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at her residence.  She was born November 11, 1951, in Morgan County, to Calvin Kelton Burnett and Betty Gwendolyn Reeder Burnett.

She was a homemaker for her entire life, was a wonderful mom of four children, a grandmother of seventeen and a great grandmother of eighteen. She was a Baptist who loved Jesus and was a faithful Christian woman. She loved country music and Kid Rock. She enjoyed playing games on her tablet, watching "Dog the Bounty Hunter", going to thrift stores and shopping.

Preceding her in death were her husband- James Fortenberry, her parents, a brother- William Burnett and a grandchild- Shannon Flanagan.

Daughters- Jill Tersigni (Fiancé - Kerry Cobb),
Jolene Barnett Glisson (Mike), and
Brittany Vann (West),

Brother - Larry Burnett, Sr. (Carol),

Seventeen Grandchildren and
Eighteen Great Grandchildren
