Jimmy Hill

Funeral service for Jimmy Hill, 82, of Hartselle, will be Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Jimmy was born in Hartselle, Alabama on October 11, 1943 to Robert Leon Hill and Pauline Tyler Hill. Soon after graduating from Morgan County High School, he began his 35-year career at Monsanto in Decatur until retirement in 1999.

He was a great Dad to his two daughters, Lisa and Andrea, and loved the game of golf for nearly six decades. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering in his garage. If something was broken; he could fix it. Jimmy will be remembered fondly as an awesome Dad, a wonderful brother, and a true friend. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother and sister-in-law, Robert “Leon” Hill and Martha.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Tyler, Raleigh “RA” Garner, Vic Brown, Burt Hill, Corey Rains, and Clint Fowler.

A special word of thanks goes out to the staff, caregivers, and nurses at the Heritage Assisted Living and Memory Care for their amazing care and friendship during his stay. Thank you also to the team at Hospice Family Care who made his final days so peaceful in their beautiful Hospice Inpatient House.
