Funeral service for James Young, 49, will be Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 1:30 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Graves officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in New Hope North Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday, February 8, 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. Young passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at his residence.  He was born  June 15, 1976, in Texas,  to Jack Kenneth Young and Evelyn Calvert Young.

He was employed by Caldwell Tank, as a broilermaker, maintenance and construction worker,  prior to his passing.  He loved to talk and be in the center of everything , enjoyed cooking, fishing and hunting. He drove race cars and was a wonderful PawPaw to many. He loved working on things and could fix anything. Zander was his pride and joy.

Preceding him in death were his father- Kenneth Young, a brother- Dwain Young and first wife- Susie Cordes Young.

Mother - Evelyn Calvert Young,

Grandchildren - Peyton, Kloe, Kayleigh, Paisley, Aiden, Sawyer, Abree, Adalaide, Oaklee and Tate,  Bethany, Megan, Kayla,  Owyn, Eastyn. Special Great-Nephews- K.T. & Braxton Young

and his favorite dog -Rebel.

Pallbearers will be Shannon McClendon, Randy Lowery, Kevin Bailey, Barry Holcomb, Gene Cordes, and Shea McClendon.

Honorary Pallbearer-Adam Young.

In lieu of flowers- Memorial donations may be made to Cullman Senior Center, in his honor.  1539 Sportsman Lake Road Cullman, AL 35055.
