Mr. Gene Aittala, 85,  died on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Decatur Morgan Hospital.  He was born May 1, 1940, in Minnesota,  to Uno Jalmer Aittala and Ruth McClellan Aittala.

He was a designer of Marine Electronics for Marinette Marine, prior to his retirement. He was also a United States Veteran of the Navy, and a wonderful husband and father.

Preceding him in death were his parents. and a sister- Doris Evelyn McMurry.

Survivors include

Wife - Magdalena Caraballo Aittala,

Sons - William Aittala and
Eric Aittala, and

Sisters- Dorothy Larson (Thomas),
Delores Backlund (Harlan), and
Donna Pischke (Arden)
