A Private Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Freda James Ikner, 91, will be held in Johnson Chapel Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. No Visitation is scheduled, per her wishes.

Mrs. Ikner passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026.  She was born January 13, 1935, in Morgan County, to Howard James and Gretchen Sandlin James.  She was a homemaker for her family, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved flowers. Preceding her in death were her husband- Lonnie Eugene Ikner, her parents, two sons- Timothy Ikner and Jimmy Ikner, sister- Helen James Ikner, and a brother- Charles Lee James.

Survivors include:

Daughters - Nancy Chaney, and
- Brenda Hall (Preston)
- Clarise Byers and
- Amy Hatfield,

Brother - Edward James,

Nine Grandchildren and

Ten Great Grandchildren.
