Funeral service for Eleanor Merle Garrison, 85, will be Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chad Green officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Midway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Garrison died on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born March 14, 1940, in Lawrence County, to Floyd Terry and Stella Fuller Terry.
Eleanor was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church since 1969. She was a Sunday School Teacher as well for many years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed painting, poetry, and art.
Preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters- Betty Morgan, Marcille Sandlin, and Melba Cabler, and six brothers- Harold Terry, Felton Terry, Gordan Terry, Dewey Terry, Carl Terry and Calvin Terry.
Survivors include
Husband- James Harlin Garrison,
Daughters- Anita Joan McLemore (Tim),
Pamela Anne Harrison (Tim), and
Kathy LeAnne Gray (Greg),
Brother- Buddy Terry
Sister- Jimmie Lou Lemmond
Seven Grandchildren - Evan McLemore, Anna Newton (Will), Carter Harrison (Cadence), Nicholas Ellis (Amber), Whitney Ellis, Sam Gray, and Christopher Gray.
Four Great Grandchildren - Caroline Newton, Brantley Burgess, Grayson Ellis, and Jackson Ellis.
