A memorial service for Dwight Lowery, 83, will be Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 3:00PM at First Baptist Church with Bro. Clayton Speed and Dakota Lowery officiating and Peck Funeral Home assisted the family. Visitation will be Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at First Baptist Church.

Mr. Lowery died on Friday, May 8, 2026, at his residence. He was March 15, 1943, in Colbert County, to Aaron and Jetta Lowery.

He served his country and his community for 28 years in the Alabama National Guard, was a Civil Draftsman for the City of Hartselle prior to his retirement and was a Captain for the Fire Department for Hartselle. Dwight was a Boy Scout Leader for Troup 336 and a Playground designer for Playground International and loved working with his leather crafting. He was also an adjunct instructor for Calhoun Community College. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren with all his heart and was married to the love of his life, Linda, for 63 years.

Son: Jonathan Lowery (Mistie)

Daughters: Lara Campbell (Ray) and Sara Lowery (Ron)

Grandchildren: Dakota (Kismet), Dustin, Jill (Brett), Ema'lee, Valerie (Quiencey), Lapis (Eddie), and Aaron.

Great Grandchildren: Evelyn and Lily-Grace.
