Dorothy Jean Marks

A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Dorothy Jean Marks, 73, will be Friday, August 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM at  Hartselle Memory Gardens with Bro. Edwin Hayes officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. A Private Visitation will be held for the family only.

Ms. Marks passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital.  She was born March 1, 1953, in Florida to Alex M. Hart, Sr. and Lois Louise Wallace Hart, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son- Rodney William Marks.

She was employed by Americold and Summit Tree Stands, as an accountant, prior to her retirement. She was a member of FBC of Cullman. She enjoyed crocheting and loved her grandchildren with her whole heart.

Survivors include

Daughter - Angela DeBoer (Joe),

Brother - Alex Hart (Sandy),

Sister - Patricia McGuire (Billy),

Grandchildren -  Alyssa DeBoer, Emma DeBoer, Eli DeBoer,

and a host of nieces and nephews.
