Funeral service for Charles Ray Stone, 76, will be Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM at East Highland Baptist Church with Bro. Walter Blackman and Bro. Jarrod Helms officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Eidson Chapel Cemetery, in Holly Pond, Alabama. Visitation will be Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at East Highland Baptist Church.
Bro. Stone passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at his residence. He was born March 30, 1950, in Cullman County, to Carlis Bobby Stone and Agnes Leona Lamberth Stone.
Bro. Stone was the former Pastor and a member of East Highland Baptist Church. He pastored for 16 years. He was at West Point Baptist in Jacksonville, Alabama for 3 years, Fifth Avenue Baptist Church in Decatur for 4 years and was at East Highland for 9 years. He also served as a Missionary for 25 years for Bob Tebow Evangelistic Association serving in various countries.
He married the love of his life and was married to Carol Janice Baker Stone for 57 years. He enjoyed camping and cooking for his family. He loved his family especially his children and grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother- Bobby Curtis Stone, Jr., and a sister- Wanda Mallard.
Survivors include
his Wife - Carol Janice Baker Stone,
Sons- Stephen Stone (Christy),
Philip Stone (Jessica) and
Jonathan Stone (Van),
Brothers - Ronny Stone (Linda) and
Ricky Stone (Barbara),
Sisters - Bonnie Hyde (Ken) and
Regina Dunn (Russell),
Five Grandchildren - Caleb Stone, Sam Stone, Liam Stone, Howard Stone, and William Vo-Stone.
Pallbearers will be the Men of East Highland Baptist Church
