A Memorial funeral service for Charles Lee Martin, 74, will be Friday, October 17, 2025 at 6:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lynn Terry officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.  Visitation will be Friday, October 17, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. Martin passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Cullman Regional Medical Center.  He was born November 27, 1950, in Lawrence County,  to Charles Bee Martin and Drama Daphyne Kimbrell Martin.

Charles was an outstanding athlete, especially at basketball. He was the 1969 Basketball MVP of the State Championship game.  He was a Morgan County Sports Hall of Fame member, who enjoyed hunting and fishing and Alabama football. He also loved doing woodworking in his shop.  Charles was married to the love of his life and best friend, Darlene, for almost 40 years,  and loved his family whole heartedly, especially his kids and grandkids. He also loved his dog "Bella" and his cat, "Rainman". Charles was employed by General Motors/ Delphi for 31 years, prior to his retirement.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother- Joe "Buddy" Martin, and a sister- Treva Martin Minor.

Son - Charles Andrew Martin (Whitney Paige Martin),

Daughter - Rachel Martin Smith (Gregory Warren Smith),

Sisters- Patsy Ann Duncan and
Scarlett Guyse Spitzer,

Four Grandchildren -
Ryan Amelia Martin,
Jamison Warren Smith,
Reid Andrew Martin, and
Quinley Ruth Smith.

and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends that will miss him dearly.
